AMANDA ANSCHUTZ

CO-FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT

Amanda Anschutz is the co-founder and President of Compassion Delivered, alongside her husband, Chef Daniel Anschutz. Amanda grew up in Hartville and graduated from Lake Local High School in Uniontown. She attended Grace College and Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana. Prior to starting Compassion Delivered in 2017, she worked in the private sector for a school safety program. It was after meeting and marrying Daniel that they noted a need in the community for food to help those diagnosed with a chronic or terminal illness.

After meeting with several other nonprofits and local hospitals, she and Daniel decided to launch Compassion Delivered out of their home by preparing meals for seven individuals living in Stark County that had recently been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. The program grew rapidly and by May of 2020, they had moved to Evermore Community church’s commercial kitchen and had produced over 10,000 meals. By 2022, that number reached 25,000. Today, she oversees the operations, client in-take, fund development, and community outreach for hundreds of individuals who are dealing with the most difficult season of their life and walks alongside them to provide them with food and emotional support to make things a little better every day.
