  • What do you like to do in your spare time?

I am a big fan of traveling, music, and Cleveland sports. My wife and I enjoy hanging out with our families and friends. And any night out to a good restaurant is always a blast.

  • What inspires you?

Seeing kindness and compassion in others creates a lot of compounding momentum that I find inspiring. Watching people come together to help others through voluntary acts of service says a lot about the human spirit and that everyone can make a difference for someone else.

  • Why are you on the board of directors?

I have been aware of Compassion Delivered, Inc.’s presence in Stark County for some time now and always felt an intrinsic connection to the organization and it’s mission. Personally, the recent loss of my grandfather, and the ongoing care of my other grandparents has shown me how much of a difference a warm meal and a conversation can make in a person’s life. Amongst a variety of other reasons, I have a very personal connection to Compassion Delivered and am honored to serve on its Board.

  • Who is a hero of yours?

My grandfather, Lester Prater, was a long-time hero for me. He taught our family and myself a lot from good taste in music to the meaning of hard work and value of education. He instilled a lot of great values in our family and inspires me to give back to others and make a difference in the community.

  • What is something quirky about you?

I’d like to think that I can quote about roughly 75% of the script of the movie Step Brothers!
